Pus and bacteria – The dairy industry uses different techniques to increase milk production. This causes induration and infects the udder of the cattle. As a result, we can find pus and bacteria in our milk today which causes many illnesses.

Paratuberculosis bacteria cause Johne’s disease in Cattle and Crohn’s disease (an illness that causes diarrhea, nausea and vomiting) in humans. These illnesses are caused by intensive animal farming practices. In many countries, overcrowding and poor sanitary conditions lead to widespread tuberculosis amongst cattle in the farms.

Antibiotics – Dairy farms try to inject huge doses of antibiotics to control the mastitis in cows. Mastitis is the inflammation of the mammary gland and udder tissue of dairy cattle. It is caused due to contact with the milking machine and through contaminated hands and other equipment used by the farmers.

Children are the most vulnerable as these antibiotics hinder the development of their immune system and cause antibiotic resistance. Along with the antibiotics, every glass of milk contains 1-7 drops of pus.

Pesticides – Just like we find pesticides in inorganic food, pesticides are sprayed on the feeds of animals too. These get concentrated in their milk and meat. When research was done on huge quantities of milk samples, they found they found large quantities of DDT and HCH (antibiotic given to cows in their feed). They also found arsenic, cadmium and lead in milk which can cause heart disease, kidney damage, brain damage and cancer.

Growth Hormones – found in milk can cause diabetes and obesity. Also, the countries with highest milk consumption have maximum number of osteoporosis cases. Further the estrogen and progesterone in milk can lead to breast and prostate cancers.

Milk and other dairy products like butter, cheese, and paneer should be completely eliminated from your diet as it is the root cause of various illnesses. You should avoid it completely if you are struggling with any of the issues like losing weight, arthritis or any sort of inflammation, leukemia, cancer, cardiovascular problems, IBS, autoimmune diseases, diabetes. Milk also causes mucous and colic in children.

Dairy can trigger swelling and can irritate the intestine linings. It includes insulin like growth elements that can aggravate a situation of diabetes, excessive weight as well as cancer. Is tetra pack milk healthy?

Absolutely no. I already discussed the various harmful effects of milk as it is the root cause of various illnesses.

Tetra pack milk is unhealthy because they are heated at high temperature resulting in loss of nutrients. Also, they are fortified with additional nutrients which are not healthy.

There are many ways to replace milk. You can use any form of plant-based substitutes like almond milk, oat milk, rice milk, hemp milk, cashew milk, coconut milk instead of cow’s milk or buffalo’s milk.

Which milk is good during pregnancy?

You may be surprised to know that it is perfectly fine to not consume milk during your pregnancy too.

Research suggests that a vegan diet is most appropriate for all stages of the life cycle including pregnancy and nursing.

They have also pointed some risks of consuming animal products and dairy during pregnancy and nursing and they include the following: –

  1. a) Seafood and fish may contain heavy metals and hence should be avoided b) Meat and Dairy contain high amount of saturated fat and may pose a risk of bacterial

infection.

Hence a pregnant woman should ensure that her diet should include sufficient amount of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and cereals, legumes, nuts and seeds, fermented foods, plant-based milk and nutritional yeast.

This will provide her all the essential nutrients like Vitamin D, Iron, Iodine, Calcium, Omega 3 fats, Protein and zinc.

Is milk good for weight loss? And what exactly should you eat to lose weight?

Milk and other dairy products should be avoided if you are looking to lose weight as they contain high amount of antibiotics, growth hormones and other chemical which can hamper your weight loss efforts. Hence it is best to substitute milk with plant-based options like almond milk, cashew milk, oat milk and other options.

So, what you eat, and drink plays a very important role in weight management.

We all know that nutrition is food to the body. We need food for energy, to think and act properly. Our action depends completely on the kind of food that we consume and the quality of rest that we get.

We have to consider consuming high-quality fats, good quality carbohydrates as well as good quality and healthy protein. The majority of the natural foods are rich in all these nutrients. These help in building our immunity, and also makes us feel happier and healthier in the body and mind

So, when we speak about balanced nutrition, we need to consider the sources from where we are getting this nourishment from. You cannot find it in unhealthy food. In unhealthy food, you might discover a great deal of unhealthy fat, low quality protein, negligible fiber, and bad carbs. So, when you consume junk, it leads to more sugar cravings and food cravings and that’s when we eat way too much.
